Rules
Season
15th March to 30th September
- Water - Left
bank of River Ken from Dalry to Boatknowe (March fence).
- Right bank from
Polmaddie to Carsfad Loch
Method of Fishing -
Fly only until the 1st of June. no maggots or natural minnows to be
used.
Water. - Carsfad
Reservoir.
Water. - Ealstoun Dam
Method of Fishing Carsfad-
Fly, spinning and bait except natural minnow. Live or dead
bait from left bank.
Method of Fishing Earlstoun -
Fly
fishing from boat. no bank fishing. Buoyancy Aids MUST be used.
Fishing for members only
One rod only to be used and
rod must be held in hand at all times when fishing. no ground bait to be
used.
All trout under nine inches
in length, salmon fry, other fry and unclean fish must be returned to
the water. Course fish should not be put back.
Permits, fish and tackle in
possession of holder must be exhibited to any one of the members of the
association on request or to any water bailiff, policeman or gamekeeper.
No fishing between midnight
and one hour before sunrise.
No keep nets.
SUNDAY FISHING
trout only on Carsfad and
Earlstoun.
NO DOGS, LITTER, PICNICS OR
FIRES. NO CAMPING.
Only recognised paths to be
used and all gates must be closed
VISITORS FISHING RIVER KEN
AND CARSFAD ARE SPECIALLY WARNED OF THE DANGERS OF:
APPROACHING THE INTAKE
CANAL ON THE WEST BANK OF THE RESERVOIR.
THE SUDDEN RISE OF THE
WATER IN THE RIVER KEN AND CARSFAD DUE TO POWER STATION OPERATIONS
ANY PERMIT HOLDER FOUND
CONTRAVENING THE RULES OF THE ASSOCIATION WILL BE LIABLE TO HAVE HIS
PERMIT WITHDRAWN FOR LIFE
